Bodhran and Tippers

At present only one style of Bodhrán is available. This is largely in part to focus on producing a high quality handmade instrument, expanding in other sizes at a later date. Modifications can be discussed upon inquiry. Other factors are due to the co-production of other high quality affordable instruments available from Richard Cox Glenn Wray Musical Instruments.


Tippers

The rod style tippers that are available are handcrafted in my workshop. Solid wood tippers are made available through other sources at the present time. Rod style tippers are made from bamboo and manufactured so that the inner rods will not shift when playing. Comfortable grips and o-rings are standard for a good feel and to prevent tipper slippage. Adjustable o-rings allow for multi sound effects from rasp to a brushed tone from the skin. Solid wood tippers are made from rosewood of various attractive grains. All tippers listed will list length, total weight and head diameter.
