Mandolin and Mandola (Octave Mandolin)

We use our own design for the mandolins and mandolas, a teardrop style which is in keeping with the traditional shape. They are carefully handcrafted from the finest wood with a deep body (or box) which allows for good resonance.

A range of exotic hardwoods are used:

• Soundboards (or the belly) are carefully selected from Western Red Cedar or Sitka Spruce – these are better sounding woods.
• Back, sides and neck are made of African padauk or other decorative woods
• The bindings are handmade, using 3 layers of natural wood.
